This is an opportunity for an entrepreneurial professional to develop the Nonprofit Loan Fund of Tucson and Southern Arizona—a small but growing Certified Development Financial Institution (CDFI)—into an economic development powerhouse.
Headquartered in Tucson, Arizona, we are in the process of transforming both our organization and the region. NPLF is becoming a catalyst for attracting federal, state, and local funding for qualified projects that create jobs and leverage economic opportunities to improve the lives of those in distressed communities.
NPLF has two primary missions: to provide flexible loans of $10,000 to $200,000 to qualified organizations and to provide technical assistance to help strengthen the financial sustainability of for-profit and non-profit businesses working in economically distressed communities. Through nearly five years of operations, NPLF has grown and stabilized, developed a great reputation, and received strong support from regional business and philanthropic leaders.
The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills combined with an entrepreneurial can-do spirit. He or she must have strong financial analytical skills, an ability to secure funding through grants, investors and other partners, and energy to execute a strategic vision for growth. Candidate must have a minimum of ten years’ experience in lending, finance, economic development and/or the CDFI industry. While working independently and as part of a team, the Executive Director will coordinate the roles of partner agency staff, contractors, and volunteers. NPLF has an excellent board of committed professionals, working to help ensure that we make a significant impact as a CDFI and lending partner in our region.
NPLF provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, sexual orientation or other non-merit factor.
The job is open until filled.
