Why Join the GPAz Board?
As a board member, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Growth Partners Arizona. From setting strategic goals to building valuable connections, your contribution is crucial in helping us drive sustainable economic change.
Here’s what you’ll be doing as a board member:
- Strategic Oversight: Collaborate with fellow board members and our executive team to set and monitor GPAz’s goals and vision.
- Governance: Ensure we adhere to nonprofit best practices, including financial oversight and compliance with regulations.
- Advocacy and Outreach: Act as an ambassador for GPAz by promoting our mission and expanding our reach.
- Resource Development: Help identify and secure the resources and partnerships we need to grow.
Who Should Apply?
We’re looking for individuals with diverse perspectives and skills who are passionate about community development and nonprofit leadership. Specific expertise in the following areas is highly desirable:
- Finance and accounting
- Economic Development
- Legal affairs
- Nonprofit management
- Community development
- Small business entrepreneurship
- Diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives

What’s the Commitment?
Our board members commit to:
- Attending bi-monthly board meetings (in person or virtual)
- Serving on at least one committee
- Serving a two-year term, with the option to renew for an additional term
